Doris Shores

Doris E. Shores, 91, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014. Mrs. Shores was born in Tullahoma, Tenn., to Lewis and Clara Eason. She was raised in Chattanooga and was a graduate of City High School Class of 1941. She was of the Presbyterian faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Shore, Jr.; her parents; sister, Clara Louise Patterson; brother, Robert Herald Eason Sr.; cousin, Robert Bearden Jr.; her aunt, uncle and grandmother who raised her, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bearden and Elizabeth Hill. Surviving are her daughter, Sandra Jackson and her husband, Roger of Cleveland, Tenn.; grandsons, William Thomas Jackson, of Chattanooga and Dr. Roger Marcus Jackson and his wife, Dr. Erin Ashworth-King, of San Angelo, Texas; great-granddaughter, Phoebe Grace; nephew, Robert H. Eason Jr.; and cousin, Mrs. Ella Mae Bearden Moore, of Montgomery, Ala. Private graveside services for the immediate family were held at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
