Carol Ellis

Carol Ann Cranfield Ellis, 76, of Signal Mountain, left this world on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014. She was born on July 21, 1938, in Chattanooga. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Marie Cranfield; and her husband of 29 years, Carl Laverne Ellis. Carol loved her family and she enjoyed traveling and meeting new people. She was an artist, a writer, and a dog lover. Carol will be greatly missed by many. She is survived by her brother, Paul Cranfield, of Harrison; and by her five children, Allen Adair, of Chattanooga, Sherrie Richards, of Knoxville, Steven Adair, of Phoenix, Donald Adair, of Signal Mountain, and Virginia Keys of Ringgold, Ga. Carol had five grandchildren, Jessica Wallace, of Knoxville, Adam Wallace, of Rossville, Courtney Starr, of Tunnel Hill, Ga., Jenna Oliver, of Montgomery, Ala. and William Adair, of Signal Mountain. Carol also had seven great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She loved every one of us. Carol donated her body to medical science. No memorial service is planned.
