Wayne Kaylor

LaFAYETTE Wayne Kaylor, 62, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014. He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas and was of the Baptist faith. He was employed in the Textile Industry for more than 30 years, he also enjoyed fishing, but his true passion in life was love of cars. He was a loving brother, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Kaylor Jr.; mother, Mary Guffey; stepfather, Emory Guffey; and two brothers, Wesley and Gary Kaylor. Survivors include the mother of his children, Pat Kaylor, of LaFayette; sons and daughter-in-law, David and LaShawn Kaylor, Chris Kaylor, all of Ringgold, Ga.; brother, Ronnie Kaylor, of Canton, Ga.; sister, June Henry, of Soddy-Daisy; two grandchildren, Shelby Kaylor and Zach Byrd; special brother-in-law, Darrel Huskey; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, 2014, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Rev. Ron Guffey officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Gardens Cemetery.
