Damon Henley

Damon Lamar Henley, 63, departed this life Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014. He was born in Chattanooga to the late Dave and Fleda Henley. Damon worked for Chattanooga Glass for 22 years and was of the Church of God faith. He was also preceded in death by his son, Lamar Henley; brothers, David and Don Henley; and a sister, Connie Walker. Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Sheila Henley of Rossville; son, Dwight (Misty) Henley of Chattanooga; sisters, Brenda Rittenhouse, Wilma Simpson, both of Rossville, Anita Phillips of Chattanooga, Carol Henley of India; grandsons, Aaron and Drake; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, in the chapel with Pete Anderson officiating. Family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. today, Aug. 10, and prior to the service Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Chattanooga Autism Center at chattanoogaautismcenter.org, Siskins Children at siskinrehab.org, or to National Parkinson Foundation at www.parkinson.org. Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.
