Ruth French

Ruth Holland French, 88, passed away Friday, Aug. 8, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Edward French; two children, Tammy Lynn Morrison, Steven Neal French; parents, George and Ebbie Holland; sister, Cledith Hicks; brothers, Paul Holland, Clyde Holland, Claude Holland; infant brother and sister, Herbert and Claire. Ruth was a lifelong member of the Whitwell Church of God. Those left to cherish her memories are two sons, Eddie (Sandy) French and Glenn (Christy) French; sister, Odell Holloway; seven grandchildren, Jeremy French, Jill French Parker, Justin French, Christina French, Carrie Smith, Stacy Driver, Gage French; seven great-grandchildren, Chancey, Kimberly, Hannah, Hadyn, Madison, Katelyn and Jayden. Family will receive friends 3-8 p.m. CDT, Monday, Aug. 11. Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Michael Shrum and Bishop Clayton Privett officiating. Interment at Whitwell Memorial Cemetery. The family would like to express their appreciation to NHC Dunlap Nursing Home and staff for their kindness and compassion shown to Mrs. French during her stay.
