Wally Peters

Charles Walter "Wally" "Waldo" Peters, 50, passed away Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014. He was born in Catoosa County and had been a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Ringgold High School Class of 1983. He was currently employed with T.J. Hunt Trucking where he had been a driver for the past 14 years. He took pride in the trucks he drove, if he wasnt driving it - he was cleaning it. He also enjoy watching NASCAR and was a #3 Dale Earnhardt fan. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd E. Peters. Survivors include his wife, Candice Ann Nichols Peters, of Rising Fawn, Ga.; mother, Peggy Ann Johnson Peters, of Chickamauga; brother, Anthony E. (Carolyn) Peters, of Crandall, Ga.; stepsons, Dalton Williams and Ashton Holbrook, both of Rising Fawn, Ga.; nephew, Jeremy A. Peters, of Rossville; several aunts, uncles, cousins and trucking buddies. The family will receive friends from 1-9 p.m. today; 10-9 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday morning until the service. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Ministers Fred Holcomb, Mark Smith and Jennie Andone officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South, Rossville. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the funeral home. Arrangements by W.L.
