John Tinker

John Phillip Tinker, 73, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, Aug. 18, 2014. John retired from the U.S. Government with over 22 years of service. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. John was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Nadene Tinker; mother, Pearl Tinker; sister, Ann Nichols; mother and father-in-law, Milton and Oneida Warfield; and brother-in-law, Jerry Lane. Survivors include son, Mike (Leia) Tinker; three sisters, Billie Lane, Linda (Walter) Brown and Barbara (W.O.) Johnson; brother-in-law, Bobby Joe Nichols; two granddaughters, Chasity and Courtney; one grandson, Wade; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors with the Rev. Sam Bollinger officiating. Condolences may be shared at www.lanefh.com.
