Phillip Barks

Mr. Phillip Harold Barks, 54, died tragically, Thursday, July 31, 2014, in a house fire at his home. He was employed by Blevins Enterprises in Altamont. He was born in Coalmont, Tenn., on Oct. 30, 1959 to James Ed and Euphemia King Barks who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Roxanne Campbell Barks; daughter, Miranda l. "Mandy" Barks; sons, Phillip Eugene (Jessica), Dustin Edward Lee (Kaci), Casey Harold (Kayle) and Justin Allen "Pooter" Barks; five grandchildren; sisters, Michelle and Carolyn; brothers, Melvin, Darrell (Melissa), Donnie, Frankie, Gerald, Danny, Johnny (Shannon) and Matt (Patricia) Barks; a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, in the funeral home chapel with Brother Don Hill officiating with burial to follow in Whitman-King-Bess Cemetery.
