Mattie Headrick

Mattie Lucille Webb Headrick, 89, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, Aug. 22, 2014. A resident of the North Georgia-Chattanooga area for most of her life, she was a former employee of State Farm Insurance where she worked for over 10 years and was a member of Boynton Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and VBS for many years. Mattie and her late husband Ralph were former owners of a motel in South Georgia for several years and also owned and ran Ralph Headrick Rodeo Inc. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Ross Headrick; parents, Jeff and Jenny Kirkland Webb; son, Daniel Patrick Headrick; two sisters, Amy Webb and Marie Franks; and brother, William Webb. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Hyechong Headrick of Ringgold; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Keith McLeod officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today, Aug. 24, all day Monday and until funeral time Tuesday at the funeral home. An online register book may be signed at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.
