Kila Gasaway

Kila Gasaway, 66, went to heaven to live with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014. She was a retired kindergarten teacher in the Hamilton County School District and a member of Covenant Life Worship Center in Chickamauga. She was preceded in death by her father, Harlis M. Dyer Sr.; and her grandson, Alex Clements. Kila is survived by her husband, Edward Gasaway; mother, Jewell Dyer; sons, David Lee (Suzanne) Clements Jr., Michael (Amy) Clements, Jason (Patti) Clements; stepdaughter, Christi Underwood (Scott); and brother, Harlis M. Dyer, Jr. (Penny); and one sister, LaBreeska (Lynn) Massey. Kila is also survived 11 grandchildren that include, Nova Wilson, Joshua Fix, Alex Clements, Jacob Clements, Joseph Clements, Jordan Clements, Christopher Underwood, Jonathan Underwood, Ashley Wilson, Lauren Fix, Morgan Fix; and five great-grandchildren that include Hudson, McKinnlee, Kaelee, Kylie and Fuller. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Pete Anderson and Terry Harris officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
