Robert "Lil June" Lloyd Jr., 85, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, spouses; five sisters and one brother. Survivors include his children, Derrick Lloyd, Angela Lloyd and Tommy Peak, of Chattanooga, Cheryl Lloyd, Bellflower, Calif., Linda Lloyd-Gore and Melvin Lloyd, of Sand Bernardino, Calif.; 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mattie Pearl Blackwell, Detroit; cousin, Betty Lloyd; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, 2014 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Johnson, officiating. Interment National Cemetery. The body will lie in state after noon today and the family will receive friends from 67 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
