Meghan Day

Meghan Lavonne Day, 23, of Chattanooga passed away Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, in Nashville. Meghan graduated from Boyd-Buchanan High School in 2009 where she played soccer all four years, was active in the chorus and had many other accomplishments. She graduated from David Lipscomb University in Nashville with a B.A. in Fashion Merchandising and marketing and a B.S. in Business Marketing. She was an active member of Delta Omega Sorority. Meghan was a vibrant, well- loved and outgoing young lady who was a joy to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her uncle, Donnie Lynch and her grandparents, Nell Day and Cullman Day all who were of Cleveland, Tenn. Meghan is survived by her parents, Dan and Jeannie (Lynch) Day; brother, Dylan Day, all of Chattanooga; grandmother, Pat Lynch and uncle, David (Ruth) Lynch, all of Cleveland; boyfriend, Brad Lloyd of Knoxville; several cousins. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Aug. 31, at the Patten Chapel at University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. A private family burial will be held. In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Scholarship Fund has been set up in memory of Meghan Day c/o SunTrust Bank, Attn. Roger Davis, 1900 Gunbarrel Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
