Paula Wiesen

Paula Ann Bartlett Wiesen, of Rootstown, Ohio, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, while residing in Altercare Post Acute Rehab Center in Brimfield, Ohio. After 62 years of life, 40 that were spent with her soulmate and loving husband, Carl P. Wiesen, she peacefully slept and was gloriously awoken by her savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. Paula was born Oct. 8, 1952, in Warren, Ohio, to her parents, Lee Roy and Martha (Onder) Bartlett. Anyone that met her was touched by her warm personality and her sweet disposition. She put her heart and soul into everything that she did and would always make time for anyone. She started out as a student, housewife, member of the PTA, and Girl Scout leader. From there, Paula grew into an amazing and loving Speech and Language Pathologist that everyone knew affectionately as "Ms. Paula." She worked hard and earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Kent State University and her Masters of Arts, with a concentration in Speech and Language Communication from the University of Tennessee. Amongst her many accomplishments, she stated that her two favorite were her children: Theresa L. Wiesen Goodwin and Carl N. "Nick" Wiesen. A "Nane" also couldnt have had more pride and love in her heart than for her two granddaughters; Marissa K. Goodwin and Kelsie B. Goodwin. Paulas best friend and partner in crime, her "bro," David L. Bartlett, shared many stories and insiders that not only he but his family will cherish in their hearts forever. Paula also had MANY friends and family members that adored her and will treasure the unique and special blessing that it was to be in her life. Paula is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Carl P. Wiesen; her daughter Theresa L. (Joe) Goodwin; her son Carl "Nick" Wiesen; and her precious granddaughters, Marissa K. Goodwin and Kelsie B. Goodwin. She is also survived by her brother, David Lee Roy Bartlett and his wife; and Paulas sister-in-law, Kathrine Hoffman Bartlett and their beautiful daughters; and Paulas nieces, Noreen Bartlett Geiser and Jessica Bartlett Sonasmore. Paula also leaves behind her devoted mother, Martha Onder Bartlett; mother-in- law, Carmen O. Galan Wiesen; sisters-in-law, Carol Wiesen Gordon and Lou Ann Wiesen Clark; her brother-in-law, Joseph J. Wiesen; and their families. She will walk into the gates of heaven and be greeted by her father, Lee Roy Bartlett, and her father-in-law, Herbert James Wiesen. Also many of her aunts, uncles, cousins and friends will be there to welcome her home. Friends will be received on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, at St. Peter of the Fields Church, 3487 Old Forge Road, Rootstown, Ohio, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev.
