LaFAYETTE Robert Eugene "Bob" Wilhelm, 83, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014. Bob was born to the late Paul Joseph Wilhelm and Nellie Irene Riley Wilhelm. He is a member of the St. Gerard Catholic Church. Bob was retired from the Georgia Forestry Commission. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Joe Wilhelm. Survived by loving wife of 62 years, Katie M. Chapman Wilhelm, of LaFayette; daughters and sons-in-law, Terri (Max) Morrison, of LaFayette, and Renee (Arnold) Tarpley, of Cleveland, Tenn.; brother and sister-in-law Jerry (Myra) Wilhelm, of LaFayette; two grandchildren and spouses David (Sara) Morrison, and Jennifer (Joe) Fuller; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Mass of Resurrection from the St. Gerard Catholic Church at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19 with Father Bill Williams officiating. Interment in LaFayette Cemetery. Pallbearers are Nephews. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19. Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
