Laverne Templeton

Laverne Templeton, 83, of Chatsworth and formerly of Tunnel Hill, passed away Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, in Wood Dale Health Care Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Bertha Horne; sisters, Mattie Humphries, Frances Haygood; and brothers, Joe Horne, J.C. Horne and Rev. Clifford Horne. She was a member of Holly Creek Baptist Church of Chatsworth and formerly a longtime member of Keith Baptist Church of Tunnel Hill. She is survived by her husband, Fred Templeton; daughters and sons-in-law, Katie and Dan Sluder and Melonie and Lee Wyatt; brother and sister in law, Ronald and Shirley Horne; grandchildren, Corey Bush, Kyle Bush, Josh Sluder and Shallna Jackson. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014 from the Chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Tunnel Hill with Dr. Danny Cochran and Rev. Michael Bailey officiating.
