Betty Revis

Betty Catherine Revis, 80, of the Old Washington community, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014. She was born July 13, 1934, to the late Howard and Etta Ford of Monterey,Tenn. Betty was a retired nurse happily serving at Rhea Medical Center for 27 years. She loved God, her family, friends and singing in teh choir at Old Washington Baptist Church, where she was a member. Betty also enjoyed reading and camping with family and friends Charlie and Joann Carney. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Harley "Hop"Revis; daughter, Cathy D. Morgan; brother, Carl E. Ford. Survivors include daughter, Jennie (Ted)Blunt, Brunswick, Ga.; four sons, Donie (Debbie)Revis, Scottie (Carrol)Revis, Marty (Nina)Revis andRusty (Laura)Revis, all of Dayton; 14 grandchildren, Pam Wilkey, Daphne (Dean)Rogers, Wayne Wilkey, Master Gunnery Sgt. Jamie (Shea)Revis, Jeremy (Cindy)Revis, Adam (Carla)Sims, Daniel Morgan, Matt revis, Amanda (Jonathan) Edwards, Drew (Ashley) Revis, Jason Barley, Erik (Becky)Barley, Kevin and Jacob Revis; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Linda K. Ford, Honolulu, Hawaii; brother, Bill (Patricia)Ford, Cookeville, Tenn.; and a treasured friend, Margaret (Gary) Dillard; several nieces and nephews. Services set for 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home, Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald, Rev. Gene Couch, Rev. Aaron Revis and son, Rev. Rusty Revis. Visitation 5-8 p.m. today, Dec. 21. Interment follows in Spence Cemetery, with grandsons acting as active pallbearers.
