Linda Bentley

Linda Jane Reed Bentley, 63, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014. She had lived most of her life in the Clarksdale, Miss., area before moving to North Georgia in 1992. She was a member of Garretts Chapel Baptist Church and retired from Roper in 2014 after more than 15 years of service. She enjoyed traveling, going to Dollywood, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Reed. Survivors include her loving husband of more than 44 years, Allen Bentley; son, Chris Bentley (Denise Gilliand); daughter, Jennifer Cauthen (Randy Peace) all of Chickamauga; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny (Floria) Reed of Van Buren, Ark., Larry (Sylvia) Reed of Philadelphia, Miss., Jimmy Reed and Donald Reed both of Van Buren, Ark.; sister, Helen Reed of Clarksdale, Miss.; five grandchildren, Heather Bentley, Zeb Allen Cauthen, Zoe Cauthen, Bentley Peace and Jayden Peace; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, in the LaFayette Chapel with Brother David Harris officiating. Burial will be held at 3 p.m. EST, on Sunday, Dec. 28, at Ridge Cemetery in Golden, Miss.
