Lola Carter

Lola Baker Carter, 93, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014. Mrs. Carter was a graduate of Central High School, former member of Highland Park Baptist Church and retired from BlueCross and BlueShield of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, N.G. Carter Sr.; parents, W.R. and Anna Cecilia Baker; and her sister, Zelda Henn. Surviving are her son, Bill Carter; daughter, Zelda Sapp; son, Noel (Kelly) Carter; grandchildren, Crystal (Jonathan) Bell, Justin Carter, Kristy (Shane) Fann; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Aaron and Ryan Bell; and cousin, Catherine Champion. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at the funeral home. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home with Mr. Justin B. Carter officiating.
