Robin Sponberger

Robin Marie Phillips Sponberger, 56, departed this life Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at her home. She was a Probation Officer with the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice for 13 years and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Moore Phillips; and sister-in-law, Linda (Mike) Phillips. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, John W. (Pete) Sponberger; father, Roy D. Phillips; children, Jake Wade Sponberger, Jessica Paige Sponberger; siblings, Donna (Mickey) Lawrence, Scott (Carmen) Phillips, Ronnie Phillips, Mike Phillips, all of Ringgold; and several nieces and nephews. We would like to thank Margaret and Tonya with Hearth Hospice for the support and loving care shown to Robin and the entire family. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014 in the chapel with Rev. Ken Pitts officiating. Family will receive friends from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and until the time of the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Georgia Juvenile Justice Youth Fund in care of the Department of Juvenile Justice, 7195 Nashville St., Ringgold, GA 30736.
