Dorothy Lett

Dorothy Hudson Lett went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Feb. 3, 2014. She was 82 years old. She was born in Clay County, Ala., on Jan. 9, 1932. She was a member of Michigan Avenue Baptist Church. Dorothy moved from Anniston, Ala., to Cleveland where she has resided since 1954. She was an avid bowler. She was preceded in death by her parents, Shelly Alexander and Ida Mae Hudson; sister, June Wilber; and brothers, Roy and Richard Hudson. She is survived by her husband, Huland "Hugh" Lett, of Cleveland; two sons, Roy Lett and Bobby Lett, of Cleveland; six grandchildren, Jason and Michelle Lett; Morgan and Katie Lett; Judson and Ashley Lett Suber; Cody Lett; Ryan Lett; and William and Amanda Bates; two great-grandchildren; Logan Bates and Gavin Lett; brother, Marvin Hudson and wife, Clara, of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014. at Michigan Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Victor Hayes and Rev. David Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Michigan Avenue Baptist Church Cemetery with Jason Lett, Cody Lett, Morgan Lett, Travis Hudson, William Bates, Kevin Hudson and Trey Campbell serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
