Arvin Voiles Spurgin, 82, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at Dade Health and Rehab. Survivors include daughters, Jean (Morris) Fricks, Polly (Lloyd) Kesler, Bertha (Greg) Gilbert; sons, Calvin (Pam) Spurgin, Johnny (Rebecca) Spurgin, Donald (Mildred) Spurgin, grandchildren, Laura (Joey) Riley, Amanda (Chris) Millican, Heather (Matt) Mahan, Amber Spurgin, Tony (Brittany) Gilbert, Justin (Diana) Spurgin, Rachel (Patrick) Blevins, Shay Spurgin, Steven Spurgin, Jason Spurgin, Donald J. Spurgin, Daniel (Leslie) Spurgin ; great-grandchildren, Dakota Wright, Brady Millican, Makaila Millican, Jadyn Gilbert, Garon Gilbert, Landen Mahan, Kinzlee Jaimz Mahan, Peter Lawrence Spurgin, Dylan Spurgin, Cody Spurgin, Daniel Spurgin Jr., Katlin Spurgin and Jay Spurgin. Mrs. Spurgin was preceded in death by her parents, James Oscar and Willie Mae Haney Voiles; husband, Alvin Lee Spurgin; brothers, Mitchell "Pete" Voiles, Robert Voiles, Raymond Voiles, Clyde Violes; sisters, Neoma Davis, Imogene Warren and Clara Shock.
