Oscar Lee Ward Jr., 71, departed this life at the home of his niece in Cagle, Tenn., Wednesday Feb. 5, 2014. He was a retired truck driver and U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Lee Ward Sr. and Gertrude Ward Mitchell; brother, Clay Ward; sisters, Jeanetta Couch, Dorothy Ruehling, Frances Morgan and Pauline Rogers. He is survived by his niece and caregivers, Delia and Bobby Sherman and nephew, Travis; daughter, Christina Baltze, of Nebraska; sisters, Opal Brown and Ida Mae Pickett; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. CST Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Minister, Johnathan Hankins officiating with burial to follow on Monday at 10:30 a.m. EST in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Military Honors.
