Paul Scoggins

Paul Homer Scoggins, 90, of Hixson, passed away Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving during World War II. Paul retired from Wheland Foundry and he was an avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt and fish and was a lifelong member of the NRA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Scoggins; son Paul H. Scoggins, III; and a daughter, Wanda Hayes. He is survived by his children, Sherry Scoggins, Mary Reynolds, Roy Cansler, Chris Smith and Edith Jackson; 21 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. James Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park with Military Honors. Visitation is 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Condolences and memories can be shared at www.williamsonandsons.com.
