Edna Pickett
Edna R. Pickett, 87, passed away Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014. She was a retired school teacher with 37 years of service for the Marion County School System. She graduated with a masters degree from MTSU. Mrs. Pickett was a member of Whitwell First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Herschel Pickett; parents, Edward and Mary Jane ONeal; sister, Lettie Mae White; brothers, Charles ONeal, Andrew ONeal; grandson, Chad Pickett. Those left to cherish her memories are five children, Gigi (David) Evans, Adam Pickett, of Whitwell, Mary Frances Pickett, Gay Holder, of Red Bank, Ann Atchley, of Phenix City, Ala.; sister, Louella White; four grandchildren, Eddie Pickett, Angie (Chris) Webb, Ashley (Brandon) Walls, Herschel Brewer; 10 great-grandchildren, Brandi (Jeramiah), Aubry, Deidra, Amber, Tanner, Taylor, Rhianna, Rachel (Roque), Logan, Lily; great-great-granddaughter, Lynette; special caregiver, Lorrie Sampson. Family will receive friends noon-8 p.m. today, Feb. 11; 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, in the funeral home chapel with Rev.
