Betty Standridge Ferguson, formerly of Niota, died Tuesday evening, Feb. 11, 2014, at Tennova Hospice in Knoxville. She was a native of Monroe County. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Dora Standridge. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Lynn Ferguson (Jan. 31, 2014), and several brothers and sisters. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Ferguson, of Delaware; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Randy (Janet) Ferguson, of Knoxville, Tony (Mary) Ferguson, of Chattanooga, and Mitchell Ferguson, of Chicago; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Smith Funeral Home from 11 until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15. Entombment service will follow at 1 p.m. at McMinn Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
