Charles Lee Newell, 53, a lifelong resident of Harrison, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014. At the time of his death he was employed as a conductor with Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was a former employee of Hiwasee Construction for over 16 years. He was an avid Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast and was of the Church of God faith. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Charles N. Newell; grandson, Justin Bales. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Newell, of Harrison; sons, Brian (Kelli) Bales, of Harrison and Brentley Newell, of Harrison; daughter, Angela Kelly, of Harrison; mother, Glenda Newell, of Cleveland; sister, Sherri Newell ,of Cleveland; grandchildren, Chloe McWain, Brody Bales and Coleman Davis. Jason Gilbreath officiating. Interment will follow. Gene Garner, Larry McNelley, Curtis Mason, Chad Burris, Paul Mroz and Lewis Davis will serve as pallbearers.
