Lawrence, 65, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, in a hospital. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She was employed at ET Barwick Mill in Kenington, Ga. She enjoy going to her grandkids sports events and going yards sales. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Lawrence; and son, Marvin Gaye Jr.; and Erica Lawrence; brothers, Henry G. Fleetwood and Benny L. Fleetwood. Survivors include sons, Jimmy L. Fleetwood (Leena), of Summersville, Ga., Rickey L. Fleetwood, Ohio, Shawn E. Lawrence, Summerville, Ga.; daughter, Denise (Rickey) Star, Rome, Ga.; brother, William R. Fleetwood, Washington, D.C.; sisters, Bertha M. Fleetwood, Alabama; Mary (Jerry) Marsh, Sara Porter, Chickamauga, Ga.; one aunt, Mary Ware, one uncle, Roger Ware, both of Summersville; 23 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at Shady Grove Baptist Church. Interment in Mack Williams Cemetery. The body will lie in state after noon today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
