Doug Walker, Jr.

Doug Walker Jr. Douglas Perry Walker Jr., 71, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, surrounded by his family and friends. Born September 2, 1942, he was a member of Middle Cross Baptist Church. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and retired from Combustion Engineering after 42 years of service. He loved gospel singing and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas Walker, Sr. and Louise Walker. Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years whom he loved dearly, Patricia Walker; daughters, Twonna (Tony) Clark and Marquita (Heath) Miller; grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Hayden (Macy), Austin Clark and Brody Miller; sister, Captola (Jr) Miller; brothers, Charles (Lanese) Walker and Ronnie (Peggy) Walker along with several nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ed Gravett officiating. Burial will follow at Dodd Cemetery. Visitation is today from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
