Iva Sizemore

Iva Ruth Pierce Sizemore 96, passed away Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014. She was born in Trion, Ga., to the late Oza U. and Lurah Watkins Peirce. She was preceded in death by husband, John R . Sizemore of 47 years and five brothers. She is survived by three children, Douglas R. Sizemore, Gail Driskill, and Jeanette Young all of Chickamauga; a daughter-in-law and two sons-in-law, seven grandchildren and , nine great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was a great cook and loved sewing, gardening, fishing, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church of Rossville, Georgia. She retired from Interstate Brands where she worked at the Dolly Madison Thrift Store in Chattanooga, Tn. The family will receive friends Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe. Interment will be in Tennessee Georgia Memorial Cemetery.
