Ivan Allen

Ivan Levon Allen, 75, of East Ridge, died on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 at Memorial Hospital. Mr. Allen was a member of Brainerd Church of Christ. He was a retired Lieutenant with the Erlanger Police Department. Mr. Allen was a veteran of The United States Army. Survivors include his loving and devoted companion of the past seventeen years, Anne Knapp; daughters, Lori (Mark) Strickland and Tracey (Nathan) Loveland; grandchildren, Tyler (Samantha) Strickland, Amy Strickland, Jake Allen, and Ethan Loveland; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Maci Strickland; sisters, Evelyn King, Sara Jo (Amos) Lawson, and Carolyn Exum; his beloved dog, Whitey. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Minister Bruce Wooley officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
