Johnnie Hughes

Johnnie Hughes 77 died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 at the Spring City Care Center. Born in Wesbourne, TN, she was the daughter of the late John Robert and Mary Ruth Stinnett Cofer. Johnnie was a retired hairdresser. She owned and operated Johnnie's Beauty Shop for 35 years. Johnnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband William Hughes and her sisters Jewell Fisher and Irma Dalphene and Mary Frances Cofer and a brother Charles Cofer. Survivors include her sons Willie (Karen) Hughes of Dayton and Dewight Hughes of Evensville, daughter Ida (Rex) Fugate and Theresa (George) Fisher both of Evensville and Pam Morgan of Texas, brother Glen Cofer of Alabama, sisters Iva Lee Shadden of Rockwood, Betty Cofer of Texas and Sue Allred of Alabama, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will follow in the Smyrna Cemetery.
