Wendell Payne

Wendell Taylor Payne, 60, passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2014. He served in the National Guard, Specialist E-5, was an insurance agent with American General, and was a member of the National Life Underwriters Association. He was a member of the Trenton Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie L. Payne; sons, Michael Lacy and Glenn Lacy; parents, George and Willie Mae Payne; sisters, Billie Lou Rogers and Inez Cagle; brother, George Payne. Survivors include his daughter, Melody Stone, of Rossville; brother, John Edward Payne; sister-in-law, Inez B. Payne; several nieces and nephews; host of friends. Funeral service will be Monday at noon in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Minister Bernard Keith officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
