Albert Little

Albert Leroy Little, age 84, of Hixson passed away Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 5, 1929 in Washington, Pennsylvania to the late Albert & Levenia Little. Mr. Little was a retired United States Army Veteran serving during the WWII through Vietnam eras. He was a member of The Gathering Church. Upon retirement from the Army, he also retired from the U.S. Postal service with 20 years of service. His wife of 56 years, Lois Kannady Little, four sisters and one brother preceded him in death in 2007. Survivors include his children, Lana Little (George) Burk of Chattanooga; Alycia Little (Fred) Whitaker of Hixson; Alan Chris Little of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; Kammy Little and Kathy Little of Hixson; grandchildren, Bradley (Becky) Johnson of Hixson; Brooke Little (Matt) McMillen of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; Gregory Alan Whitaker of Hixson; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at the North Chapel. Private graveside services with Military Honors will be conducted at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Rev. David Price will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial contributions to be made to The Gathering Church, 4445 Hixson Pike, Hixson, Tennessee 37343.
