Napoleon Boneparte Rutledge Sr., of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at his residence. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran and a member of Alton Park Church of Christ. He was formerly employed by Combustion Engineering. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Annie B. Rutledge. Survivors include his wife, Pereno Rutledge; sons, Napoleon B. (Gail) Rutledge Jr. of Atlanta, and Marquest Rutledge of Chattanooga; daughters, Nina Rutledge and Tresha Rutledge both of Chattanooga; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Lewis Rutledge Jr., Fredrick Rutledge, and John Rutledge all of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives and friends. Visitation is Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at noon in the chapel with Brother Phillip Henderson as the eulogist. Burial: Chattanooga National Cemetery.
