Frances Turner LaFAYETTE Frances Marie Hargis Turner, 90, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2014. Mrs. Turner was born Aug. 30, 1923, to the late William Henry and Lucy Missouri Wells Hargis. She was a member of Woodstation Station Baptist Church most of her life where she sang in the choir and she was the Beginners Sunday School teacher for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Turner. She was survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Susan Turner, Chickamauga; two granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Tara and Jess Baker, Tiffany and Stacy Teeters; great-grandchildren, Haley Brown, Emma Baker, Sidney Baker, Zoe Brown, McKehan Baker, Jack Teeters and Samuel Teeters. Special niece and her husband, Connie and Lavon Wilson; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. today, Feb. 25, 2014, in the LaFayette Chapel of the Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Jacks, the Rev. Jim Powell and her son Sam Turner to speak. Interment will be in McIntyre Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Terry Thompson, Stacy Teeters, Jess Baker, McKehan Baker, Jack Teeters, Samuel Teeters, Haley Brown, Emma Baker, Sidney Baker and Zoe Brown.
