Dennis Woodmore

Dennis A. Woodmore, 70, retired from the state of Tennessee, passed away at the Hospice Care Center of Chattanooga on Monday Feb. 24, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Woodmore; two daughters, Denise (Paul) Myers and Wendy Woodmore. Two grandsons, Joshua and Jordan Myers, all of Chattanooga; one sister, Doris (Russ) Anderson, of Canton, Ga.; and one brother, Don (Maryellen) Woodmore, of Nashville; two brothers-in-law, Jerry (Brenda) Shadix, of Nashville, and Jerry (Karen) Shadix, of Chattanooga. Special friends, Barbara Idling and Keith Sharp; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bobby Collier of Pikeville, Tenn. officiating. The interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Hospice of Chattanooga 4411 Oakwood Dr. Chattanooga, TN 37416.
