Minnie Siskin Pearlman passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, in Fletcher, N.C. Minnie loved to entertain, dance and play mojan. Leadership played a big role in her life, she was president of both senior and junior Hadassah, organizer of a yiddish club, stock club and craft club. Minnie taught literacy class, Sunday School, and B'nai Brith exercise class; and her volunteer work included being a Grey Lady and Erlanger Hospital and a Brownie scout leader. She was born in Chattanooga, the daughter of Bessie and Harry Sulman, and was the widow of Mike Siskin and Leonard Pearlman. She is survived by a daughter, Sandy Siskin; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Dianne Siskin; son, Harvey Siskin; four grandchildren, Rick and Brian Mallen, and Keith and Brad Siskin; two great-grandchildren, Sophie and Sam Mallen; sister and brother-in-law, Gitta and Bryson Engle; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, in BNai Zion Cemetery with Jason Cathcart offciaiting.
