Faye Smothers

Lena Faye Bryan Smothers, 77, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014. She was a lifelong resident of Soddy-Daisy and attended New Salem Baptist Church. Faye enjoyed working in her yard and loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Godfrey L.C. Smothers. Survivors include her son, Dale Smothers (Cathi); daughters, Kay Gravett (special friend, Nikki Colston), Gwinna Prince (Michael); brother, Claude Bryan (Sheila); sisters, Hazel Rowell, Rose Howard (Earl), Elaine Price (Ed) and Teresa Workman (James); grandchildren, Kris Morrison, Kevin Smothers and Blake Gravett (Kelly) and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, 2014, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ted Painter officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
