Hazel Caldwell Haze

l Caldwell, 80, formerly of Hobson City, Ala., passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at her residence. She was a longtime resident and member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Hobson City, Ala., and presently a member of the Greater Community Church of Chattanooga. She retired from the Fort McClellan Army Depot as a culinary chef. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Gussie Elston; sisters, Josie Lee and Esther B. Vaughn; brother, John R. Elston. Survivors include daughters, Shirley Elston, of Chattanooga and Patricia Bradford, of Anniston, Ala.; fivegrandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Clark of Anniston, Ala.; brothers, Charles (Martha) Elston of Anniston, Ala. and William (Ann) Elston of Nashville; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Visitation is today from 6-7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Oak Ridge Baptist Church with the funeral to follow at noon with Pastor Kelvin Elston as the eulogist. Burial: Sunlight Cemetery in Eastaboga, Ala.
