Iris Gay

Iris Denise Gay, of Chattanooga, went to take her rest with the Lord and Savior on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013. She was born on Oct. 8, 1956 to Harold and Mildred Gay. Iris was a faithful member of New Emanuel Baptist Church. She was a 1974 graduate of Howard High School and was employed with First Tennessee Bank for 23 years. Iris was preceded in death by her father, Harold Gay; and her grandparents. Survivors include sons, Avery (Angela) Hill and Christoher Gay; mother, Mildred Gay; sisters, Angela (Lee) Yearby and Lorna (Randolph) Malone, and close friend, Emma Andrews. Funeral services will be held noon Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at New Emmanuel Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the service begins. Arrangements by John P.
