Rory OMore V

Rory OMore V, 66, of Hixson, went to celebrate with God on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Rory was a retired Physician Assistant who cared for each patient as if he were caring for a dear member of his family. He served as a Corpsman E5 in the Marine Corp and also served in the National Guard. Rory is a decorated soldier earning a bronze star and purple heart as a result of his service in the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elosie and Rory O'More IV; and a nephew Tom Campbell. Survivors include his loving wife, Jolonda; his sweet baby girl, Truffle; sister, Donna Komisar and many family members and friends that loved him dearly. A service to celebrate Rorys life will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, at St. Thaddaeus Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends from noon-1 p.m. CST Friday, Jan. 3, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home in Franklin, Tenn., with a private graveside service beginning at 1 p.m. CST.
