Ellen Carden

Ellen Sue Carden, 84, died on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at a local hospital. She was a lifetime resident of Chickamauga and the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Carden. Ellen worked at Interstate Life Insurance Co. for several years and also Northwestern Mutual Life. She was a member of Redemption Point Church and a former member of the Carden Sister Trio in Chattanooga. She was the sister of the late Halcomb Carden, Leo Carden, Oba Bahbah, Martha Wadsworth and Elihu Carden. Survivors include her sister, Jessie Carden, of Chickamauga; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, in the chapel with Pastor Kevin Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in Chickamauga City Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4 until 8 p.m. today and prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Homes, Fort Oglethorpe.
