Mildred Selena Miller, 67, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, in a local hospital. She retired from the Tennessee Department of Human Services and was a member of Westside Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Cora Richardson; brothers, Carl Richardson and Marvin (Lorene) Richardson; father-in-law, Nathaniel Neal Miller Sr.; daughter-in-law, Karen J. Miller; aunts, Vera Moragne, Virginia Foster, Hilda King, Tommetta Robinson, Mildred Samuels and Mary Sanders; uncle, William Forrest King. Survivors include husband, N. Neal Miller Jr.; sons, Michael L. Miller, of Chattanooga, and Brandon (Paula) Miller, of Hampton, Ga.; daughter, Lori M. Miller, of Atlanta; grandsons, Christopher M. Miller and Malcolm L. Miller, both of Chattanooga; sister, Dorris Richardson Patton, of Chattanooga; mother-in-law, Emma Miller; sisters-in-law, Gloria Jean Twitty, Lena Miller, Sandra Pitner, Gwendolyn Miller, all of Chattanooga, and Emma Jo Jordan, of Knoxville; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and beloved friends. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Westside Missionary Baptist Church with the funeral to follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Tyrus L. Chislom as the eulogist.
