Donald McRae

Donald "Donny" McRae, 54, celebrated the arrival of the New Year in the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014. Donny graduated from ABAC College in Tifton, Ga., in 1980 and worked as a salesman for the Nolan Co. He was of the Baptist faith and loved food, music, fishing, and animals...in that order. He had a great gift for music and played mandolin with some of the finest bluegrass artists in this area and over the south. Donny also loved people and made many loving friends wherever he went. He was preceded in death by his parents, John D. and Louise McRae; and sister, Montyne Carroll. Survivors include his sisters, Gloria (Jerry) Guest and Linda (Roger) McGarrity; brothers, John (Patsy) McRae and Ron McRae; his beloved pet, Duffy; and many family members and friends who loved him dearly.
