Montyne Davis

Montyne Bentley Davis, 94, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at Alexian Brothers Skilled Nursing Facility, Signal Mountain. She was a native of Chattanooga and had lived in Miami for over 30 years. She lived in the North Georgia area since 1972. She was educated in Chattanooga and was supervisor of several private schools in Florida. She was involved with Eastern Airlines and was a member of the Private Schools Association of Southern Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Davis Sr.; and a son, William "Bill" Davis. She is survived a daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Dr. Kent M. Plowman, MD, of Augusta, Ga.; six grandchildren, Kip Plowman, Scott Plowman, Nicole Boudreaux, James Plowman, Desiree McWilliams and Bill Davis; and 11 great-grandchildren. Interment will be in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
