Thomas Lovell, Sr.

Thomas Lee Lovell, Sr., 89, of Georgetown, Tenn., died on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014. He was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and was born in Ooltewah, Tenn. Thomas served in Europe while serving in the U.S. Army during WWII, with the 42nd Infantry Rainbow Division. He was the owner of Dust-Tex Rental Service of Chattanooga, Knoxville, TN and Huntsville, AL. Thomas was a beloved family member, friend and member of Ooltewah Baptist Church. We thank God for blessing us with him for almost 90 years. He will be greatly missed. Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 67 years, Lillie Mae Nunn Lovell; daughter, Debbie Womack, Chattanooga; sons, Tom Lovell, Jr., Washburn, Tenn., John Lovell, Chattanooga and Jeff Lovell, Georgetown, Tenn.; grandchildren, Amy McCawley, Zachary Lovell, Katie Lovell, Rebecca Rowland, Samuel Lovell, Nichole Shurette, and John Thomas Lovell; great-grandchildren, Jessica McCawley, Jacob McCawley, and Stella Jarrett; sister, Nell Bean, Franklin, Tenn., and brother, James Lovell, Chattanooga; many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Ooltewah Cemetery with military honors.
