Gether Smith, 83, passed away Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Estelle Songer Smith; grandson, Monty Joe Hendon; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include his wife, Jessie Brock Smith, Dunlap; daughters, Bonnie Webster, Dunlap, Julia (Jim) Hendon, Dunlap, and Stacie (Bob) Campbell, Pikeville; son, Glenn (Lisa) Smith, Sparta; 4 sisters; 3 brothers; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. CST Tuesday, Jan. 7, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jeff Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Collier Cemetery.
