Helen Tillotson

Helen Marie Tillotson, 103, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and the Ava Marie Circle. Helen was born April 28, 1910 in New York City to Daniel and Mary Kuhta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin S. Tillotson; her parents; one brother; and three sisters. Throughout her life, she volunteered at many organizations in Chattanooga including, Ladies of Charity, Memorial Hospital and Opportunities Home for Girls. Survivors include son, Bruce (Mary) Tillotson, Haddon Heights, N.J.; daughter, Eileen (Richard) Sullivan, Chattanooga; seven grandchildren, Kenneth Tillotson, Columbia, S.C., Kimberley Tillotson, Prescott Valley, Ariz., Mark (Lynn) Tillotson, Grand Junction, Colo.., Dana Tillotson, Portland, Ore., Kent (April) Sullivan, Seabrook, Texas, Erin (William) Otten, Madison, Ala., and Grant (Laura) Sullivan, Chattanooga; six great-grandchildren, Megan and Lindsay Tillotson, Grand Junction, Colo., Montana and Nash Sullivan, Seabrook, Texas, Garrett and Jenna Sullivan, Chattanooga. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. preceded by visitation one hour before at OLPH Catholic Church with Father Mike Creson officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked memorial donations be made to OLPH Catholic Church (501 S. Moore Road, East Ridge, TN 37412).
