Willie Ruehling

Willie Mae Ruehling, 91, passed away Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at the Sheltering Arms Home in Palmer with her family at her bedside. She was a member of the Gruetli-Laager First Baptist Church. She was born in Coalmont on Oct. 6, 1922. She was well known in the community for her love and genuine concern for the welfare of others. A dedicated worker in her church and a avid gardner. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Lucy Meeks Woodlee; husband, Hurl Garland Ruehling; son, Hurl Douglas Ruehling; daughter, Linda Ruehling McDaniel; brothers, Estill "Eck" and Hill Woodlee; sister, Gladys Roberts; granddaughter, Peeble McDaniel. She is survived by her loving daughter, Penny Ruehling; loving sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Bobby (Brenda), Dr. Danny (Martha), Johnny (Vivian) and Ricky (Vicki) Ruehling; daughter-in-law, Lynda Ruehling Shrum; 15 grandchilldren; 30 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gruetli-Laager First Baptist Church with Pastor Cary Gomer officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery.
