Myra Kellett

Myra G. Fletcher Kellett, 81, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at home. She was born Feb. 12, 1932, in Summerville, to Elbert Emmett and Ollie Cornelia Roberts Fletcher. Rev. John F. Kellett Sr., her husband of 52 years predeceased her. Also, three sisters, Elizabeth F. Cook, Anne F. Atkins, Wanda F. Knowles; and two brothers, Oscar and Jack Fletcher died earlier. Mrs. Kellett is survived by her children, John F. (Mi) Kellett Jr., Jean K. (Tom) Hawkins, Nansi K. (Scott) Sparks, Andrew T. (Cindy) Kellett and William "Bill" D. (Linda) Kellett; 21 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Ms. Shirley Ellsworth, Ms. Laura Woods; and brother-in-law, John Knowles; sisters-in-law, Jimmie K. Watson and Betty K. Bush; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kellett taught a childrens Sunday school class for almost 50 years and was a member of Mount Bethel Baptist Church in Broomtown, Ala. Visitation will be from 1-2:45 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at Mason Funeral Home, Summerville, Ga., with the funeral at 3 p.m. Burial will be at New Hope South Baptist Church in Holland, Ga. Pallbearers will be Jason Kellett, Peter Kellett, Scott Sparks, Joseph Kellett, Scott Crowe, Justin Hulet, J.J. Starkey and Greg Henderson. Contributions instead of flowers may be made to the Alabama Baptist Childrens Home or Mount Bethel Baptist.
